After an absence of more than two years, New York Times-bestselling uthor Max Allan Collins will bring back one of his most popular characters, the ruthless professional killer known only as “Quarry,” in THE WRONG QUARRY.
Since his debut in 1976, Quarry has appeared in 10 novels and inspired a feature film, The Last Lullaby, starring Tom Sizemore and Sasha Alexander. The new novel sees Quarry going up against an amateur killer operating on his turf. But does the hitman’s hitman have the wrong quarry in his sights?
Quarry’s new adventure will be published on 10th January 2014 by Hard Case Crime, the award winning line of crime fiction from editor Charles Ardai and publisher Titan Books. Hard Case Crime revives the storytelling and visual style of the pulp paperbacks of the 1940s, 50s, and 60s and features an exciting mix of lost pulp masterpieces from some of the most acclaimed crime writers of all time and gripping new novels from the next generation of great hardboiled authors, such as Collins, best known as the author of ROAD TO PERDITION.
“The Quarry novels are Hard Case Crime’s longest-running and top-selling series,” said Charles Ardai, “and we’re thrilled to bring Quarry back for his most riveting mission yet.”
