Editor-in-Chief Mike has been involved in the crime scene for over twenty-five years. He is an award-winning children's non-fiction writer and has contributed to anthologies ranging from science fiction, crime through to the Old West. He currently is the Dagger Liaison Officer for the Crime Writers' Association, a partner in the digital publishing firm of Piccadilly Publishing that specialises in the Western genre and still finds time to edit SHOTS!

Assistant Editor Ali Karim - is a Board Member of Bouchercon [The World Crime & Mystery Convention] and co-chaired programming for Bouchercon Raleigh, North Carolina in 2015. He is Assistant Editor of Shots eZine, and writes and reviews for many US Magazines & Ezines. He received the David Thompson Memorial Award [2011] & the Don Sandstrom Lifetime Achievement Award [2013] for services to Crime and Mystery Fandom. Ali contributed to Dissecting Hannibal Lecter ed. Benjamin Szumskyj [McFarland Press], The Greenwood Encyclopedia of British Crime Fiction [ed. Barry Forshaw] and ITW 100 Thriller Novels ed David Morrell and Hank Hagner [Oceanview Publishing].

Mike Ripley retired from regularly reviewing new crime fiction after more than 32 years at the critical coal-face. He now restricts himself to the worthy or unusual titles which tempt him out of retirement.
