Two Evils

From a deadly midnight ambush on a yacht to the heart-rending murder of a teenage girl followed by the discovery of the corpses of two immigrants and the discovery of three more victims,

Detectives Gino and Magozzi are going to have their work cut out to unravel what may turn out to be quite a bloodbath, come October 31^st.  And they are going to have to work hand in hand once more with their friends from Monkeewrench. Unfortunately, Grace McBride is having problems keeping herself and her companion, FBI agent John Smith, alive long enough to help solve the mystery.

P.J Tracy offers the sixth Monkeewrench novel and manages to make an incredibly convoluted plot, involving Somali refugees and American Indians amongst others, into a well-crafted and exciting novel. Fast-paced and brutal in places with a high body count, the reader is never bored and will race to the finish.

As often happens with these series, there are threads from previous novels which can leave the reader a little perplexed but then, you can always go back and read the previous novels. I certainly intend to.
