Argentinian millionaire gang lord, call me Mister, Luis Machi, starts a good day with a tab of Viagra, a blowjob, a couple of lines of coke, then heads back to his wife in his two- hundred-thousand-dollar Beemer. All is perfect in his perfect world.

Then it all goes horribly wrong. First, the car blows a tyre. Sabotaged. Then, while he’s waiting for roadside assistance, he finds something nasty in the boot of the motor. So, what to do, and who to trust. Sadly, for Mr Machi, he’s such a nasty bastard, even to those who work for him, there’s no one he can turn to for help. Paranoia strikes deep as he drives round and round Buenos Aries searching for somewhere to dump his unwanted cargo, and then, horror of horrors, his phone is hacked and dies. Names and faces from his past, and the present, race through his brain, as hunts for some clue to whoever is stitching him up.  Do we care? Somehow, we do, for the book is that well written.

Short, sharp, and extremely pointed.  Sharp enough to cut. Like Flies From Afar tell us that Argentina is as nasty a place as you can imagine.  Wonderful stuff!
