Brian Wiprud

Crime writer Brian Wiprud has had a number of assorted jobs including that of a projectionist but became an engineer with his expertise being the New York Underground. He has since become the person the New York Times are most likely to contact whenever they need someone to talk about the underground of New York.  He is the author of the Garth Carson series of novels and a number of standalone novels.  Pipsqueak the first in the Garth Carson series won the Lefty Award at Left Coast Crime in 2003 and was also nominated for a Barry Award for Best Paperback.  Crooked (which features Garth Carson’s brother, Nicholas Palihnic) was nominated for both the Barry Award and Shamus Award in 2007 for Best Paperback

His latest crime novel is Buy Back (2010)
