D.A. Mishani was born in Israel and studied at Cambridge. A literary scholar specializing in the history of detective literature, he worked as an editor of Israeli fiction and international crime literature before the publication of his first novel, The Missing File, achieved international recognition. Now a full-time writer, he lives in Tel Aviv with his family.
